What’s Going On Here? #3

You probably know that it was Les Paul who introduced the solid wood electric guitar to the world in the early 50s and changed Rock & Roll forever. The instrument shown here is a limited edition replica of a 1957 Les Paul Gibson guitar. What’s so special about it? Well, my grandson Jacob explained it all. He repairs and rebuilds guitar amps, so when he talked about the differences between vacuum tubes and transistors, I listened. He also explained, and demonstrated in detail how the guitar could be made to sound a myriad of different ways. Jacob is also a fantastic guitar player, and has his own band, The Telephone Junkies, https://thetelephonejunkies.bandcamp.com

So for an hour last weekend, I listened to Jacob make music, watching his fingers fly over the strings, as he played tunes and riffs. Being grandpa never felt better.
